Don't You Worry Love - The Cat Lady:
“It is madness. But sometimes, madness is the only path forward.”
Iwagakure. The Hidden Stone Village. The home of the Seishigas for generations and, assumedly, for generations to come until that day had arrived. Chaos ripped through the village in the dead of night. They were a great village... and yet, seemingly so easily, Iwagakure was no more. Mienikui wandered the streets the next morning in a daze, blood gradually being washed away by the rain, as if the skies itself were trying to cleanse the evidence of the massacre. There was little to remain for, though Mien urged her remaining family members to stay for as long as possible. Maybe her parents would emerge from the rubble?
"Mien... It's time to go. Some will stay behind to wait for those who are abroad to return. They'll tell us if your parents show up, alright? But for now we need to get going."
She simply nodded to her aunt, not a word uttered... She couldn't. Mien felt she was giving up on her parents, and she knew they never would have given up on her. She simply sat by as her family packed together their belongings, gathering and organizing what remained onto their carts, her ruined home a smouldering pile of memories. Mien could see vivid flashes of her parents, the last time she saw them alive...
"MIENIKUI! Take your brother and hide, NOW!"- Kenjou Seishiga, 36 (Strong Fortress 堅城; Still Image)
Papa...
"Never forget, we love you both. Now, GO!"- Yasa Seishiga, 34 (Gentle 優; Still Image)
Mama...
Mienikui stared into a gathering pool of water, fixating upon the crestfallen face that looked back up at her. She could see her mother in the shade of her eyes... The tilt of her mouth, akin to the lop-sided grin that her father would shoot towards her and her brother... Those blonde tresses... like the hair that framed her parents' faces. Tears stung at her eyes even long after she had settled herself into a cart.
